Train Window

Watching through a window
The part of me I left behind
Slowly drifting into the distance

The few shared moments
Blurring
As rain pelts down
Rubbing my eyes in reminiscing
Fades with every bump of the track

Space and time was promised
Yet I glance, again, and again, and again
My pride stands vigilantly
My soul shrinks silently

Virtuous you are
As much as it numbs me
It should numb you too
This duration is just proof...
... of the hurt you're enduring
